HOUSE SYSTEM


The students of the school, right from Class I, are divided into Four Houses. Captains and Vice- Captains for each House are elected by the students of the respective House at the beginning of every academic year. House Moderators from the Staff members are assigned to assist the students in conducting Academic, Sports and Cultural activities through the course of the year. The House system is constituted with the objective to instill in students the qualities of leadership, team spirit, and healthy competition. The students are encouraged to live the “motto” of their respective house.

Gandhi House

Moderators: MS. MADHU S.GUPTA, MR. ABHISHEK KR.
Gandhiji, the revered Father of our Nation, was born in 1869, in Porbander, Gujarat. He pioneered the struggle for an Independent India. Ahimsa, and satyagraha were his weapons. Gandhiji worked tirelessly to bring about social  justice, emancipation of women, and unity among the people of different castes and religions. Gandhiji will ever remain the guiding star of our nation.  The students of this house strive to follow the high ideals of honesty, integrity, non-violence and simplicity practiced by Mahatma Gandhi, the patron of our House.

Nehru House

Moderators: MRS. SANTINA, MR. MANOJ KR. SINGH
Jawaharlal Nehru, one of the greatest men of the world was the first Prime Minister of India, for seventeen long years. The colour of this house. Green, signifies new life, hope, and Courage . He instilled hope and courage in the people of our county by repeating the last lines of the poem written by Robert Frost.
“The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to Reep,  And miles to go before I sleep, miles to go before I sleep”. The students of  Nehru House,  make earnest  effort to follow the examples set by this great leader.

Sarojini House

Moderators: MS. GULAFSHAN P., MR. SANJAY INDWAR
Sarojini Naidu, born in 1879, in Hyderabad was a political activist and played an active role in the freedom struggle of India. She became the first Woman President of the Indian National Congress. In 1947, she became the Governor of the United Provinces (U.P). She was a great poet as well. She has been called as “The Nightingale of India.” Sarojini Naidu is an epitome of leadership, discipline and love for learning. Imbibing her qualities,   the students of Sarojini Naidu House, make every effort to work hard to bring about better discipline and to excel in our studies and good behaviour.

Tagore House

Moderators: MRS. LUCIA, MR. BIPIN RAJEN
Rabindra Nath  Tagore , born in 1861, is one of modern India’s greatest poets and the composer of Independent India’s national anthem. He was the first Indian to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Tagore is an ever fixed star in the Indian Literary sky. He is the very soul of Indian culture and the living voice of India, and a social reformer. Through his innumerable contributions in every field, he earned a place in world history. Taking Ravindra Nath Tagore as our model, the students of Tagore House, strive to work hard to make a positive difference in every sphere of our life .
